Standard GIA turnaround on natural diamond reports has stretched by several business days as festive-season submissions climb.
- Submission volumes to GIA typically rise heading into the autumn wedding and festive season, and this year is no exception.
- Standard-service turnaround has lengthened by roughly a week compared with the summer, though express service remains close to normal.
- Lab-grown submissions, mostly going to IGI, have not seen the same slowdown.
If a natural stone is being bought loose for a report-in-hand purchase, build in extra time before a deadline, or ask us for stones already carrying a current report.
